Good morning everyone and welcome to the Zombie Blog Hop! Why Zombies in June, you ask? A WhatsApp conversation about the need to get our blogs active and buzzing, led to someone saying that we were presently like Zombies. Which in turn led to the Zombie Blog Hop (shout out to Holly Jahangiri!). Our prompt for this hop is : Start your post with ‘6 Months in 2019 and I…..’
6 Months Into 2019
6 months into 2019 and I am getting to host first training programme of my life! Although we’re 6 months into the year, the premises I call home was taken on rent by Corinne in July 2018.
What?
I was conceived in July 2018. Or let me say that my name was. The idea of me had been occurring to Corinne for quite a while. She envisioned different things – a book store, a cafe cum book store, a book store with a small area for writing and training….. Finally, she settled on a small space for writing and training. A writing studio!
Where?
Once it was decided what I was going to be (in the near future, at least), a place magically fell vacant. Yes, Shop #4, Sector A, AWHO Colony is down the road from Corinne’s house and in the housing society she lives in! So I’m settled into this nice, quiet space in Secunderabad Cantonment.
What happens in the studio?
Having this space of her own, gives Corinne a chance to create peacefully.
It seems like she’s been dragging her feet with getting things started, but let me tell you the last year has been tough for her. So between August and December last year not much was achieved.
The 6 months of 2019 have been spent thinking, consolidating and creating. There have been various ups and downs too, but I’m now a registered establishment with a website, email address and Bank account of my own. I’m ready to welcome people to learn and grow and create!
One of the very first meetings I hosted was the Bloggers of Hyderabad meeting in February. Here are a couple of pictures from that meeting.
The Bloggers of Hyderabad group has now morphed into a learning group and I’ve had the pleasure of hosting two more meetings in May and June.
It’s nice to see this offline venture become the start of a small community. People pitch in with food and drinks and for the last two meetings members have stayed on for lunch.
In case you’re wondering what the green background behind the board is, it’s curtain to prevent the hot, summer sun beating in. The space used to have lovely old trees until the end of April, when a thunderstorm struck, and trees had to be chopped! That’s a story for another time!
Training
On 20 June, I will welcome the first batch of trainees. The plan is to keep course size small and personal.

Website
As you can see that my website has started to hum a bit. A lot of posts from Write Tribe are getting transferred here, but you’ll see a lot of new posts too.
Future Plans
Many writers will get an opportunity to show case their writing here. So you are most welcome to visit, read and share.
Corinne is committed to helping people discover their creativity. She has many offline courses planned for the months ahead. Stay tuned.
~ The Frangipani Creative
It’s my pleasure to pass on this tag to Parul Thakur at Happiness and Food. There are 24 of us on this Blog Hop and it will be spread over 3 days – 17, 18, 19 June 2019. The bloggers will add their links to the linky too. Do follow the #ZombieBlogHop and prepare to be surprised!
Congratulations, dear Corinne! It is so wonderful to see you bring this dream from conceptualisation to realityāsomething most of us struggle with! I’m sure this must be a beautiful space to stretch the creative mind and hopefully, someday, I will get to meet you and TFC in person. Good luck with this amazing venture of yours, Corinne!
Frangipani Creative looks like a stimulating hub, perfect to spend a few hour ideating, learning and floating new ideas. All the very best, Cory.
Hopefully will see it in person some day.
Thank you for Zombie blog hop.

A big congratulations to you Corinne for Writer’s Studio. The photos are very nice. Wish you luck in the coming years on your new venture.
Amazing!!
Congratulations for the first batch!
Hello TFC, I just wanted to tell you that I was fortunate to be a part of some of Corinne’s previous projects. I grew in my training career at Corinne’s work places. And I’m sure, from ‘A Writer’s Studio’ you will go a long way too. Corinne is a wonderful trainer, a great mentor, a warm-hearted friend and above all absolutely selfless. I’m really glad to have been a part of the recent meet ups at the studio. I’m looking forward to doing some interesting projects with your collaboration.
The Frangipani Creative has been a busy little baby. Hope to see you grow by leaps and bounds.
Dear Frangipani Creative
I like the calm and quiet ambiance at your place which I am sure is soon going to convert into a lot of hums and drums. You are conceived by the most authentic person I know. Be nice. Stay authentic. Not that I doubt you because I know you will. Someday, probably I will drop in too š
This is wonderful Corinne.Starting an offline venture is always fun and a lot of work too.I can see the hard work you are putting in.Best of luck
The Frangipani Creative comes across as such a cozy, comfy place to read, write and ruminate! I would love to come visit there and maybe indulge in some writing, too! Let’s see when the Universe fulfils this wish of mine!
Congrats, Corinne and TFC! As I mentioned earlier, i loved the name and frangipani is my fav flower–love it more than the rose! š
Wish you the best!
It was interesting to know about your new venture Corinne. I’ve honestly been so out of sync, it was a big surprise! Kudos on this great initiative and this bloghop is certainly a good way to shake up and wake up to active blogging.
It is nice to know about this place! Congratulations on the new venture š It sounds like a wonderful opportunity for bloggers. I wish this was in Bangalore.
Aww that’s so sweet! Congratulations once again and may all your dreams come true! Rock ir! Thanks again for this blog hop. Helped me write something after 2 months!
You are one of the reasons I am seriously thinking of shifting to Hyderabad for good. I was privileged to visit you last year and it was truly love at first sight. I want a place like you for myself: a writing studio. It reminds me of Virginia Wolfe’s book , “A room of one’s own”. Every writer should have one.
So my version of you is getting conceived right now. I think December should see it born. A Christmas gift to myself.
Looking forward to hearing a lot more from you.
Congrats on the offline venture. Wish you were in Mumbai.
Though I knew about your writing studio, Corinne, this post gave me the complete picture. I loved all the ideas that you had previously – book cum cafe, book store with a reading/writing nook – well anything that has books, reading and writing – I am happy with.
Congratulations on your first training course, Corinne and wish you many more! Take care!
Such a pleasure to meet you! Wishing you every success and I hope I get to meet you – and Corinne – soonest!
There is a story behind everything and stories always fascinate me. All through out the post, I felt like a child holding the finger of the written words here to traverse the life path of Frangipani Creative so far. Would love to hear more from #FrangipaniCreative Chronicles in future too!
Wishing you a great success Frangipani Creative.
Corinne is such a fun, warm, giving, kind, intelligent person – I’m glad you’ve found each other, and that she’s now in a better place, better able to give you the attention that I know in her heart she has been wanting to give you. I can’t wait to see what you’ll do, together, and wish I didn’t live halfway around the world, where I must content myself with watching from afar!
Awesome start! All the best for the writing programs. I envy the Hyderabad bloggers group. Nothing happened when I was in Hyderabad š, but all the best and I wish you will have more blogger meetups and learning sessions.
This is so beautiful, Corinne! Knowing you, it must be a nourishing and welcoming space! Congratulations, and wishing you all the very best!!
I remember meeting Corinne last year when she kind of shared about this concept. Glad to say that Corinne could fulfill her dream and start you. If I visit Hyderabad, I would definitely love to visit you. All the best to you. Keep growing, Corinne is a beautiful soul and you are in safe hands.
I have been reading and seeing pictures of you on various social media platforms but wasnt aware of your story! It’s so wonderful that you will be instrumental in developing and training people to hone their writing and creative skills. I hope to meet you when I am next in your city. All the very best for your first training. Cheers!
How wonderful it is to actually realise your dream. I can only imagine how fulfilled and contented you must be. May this new venture continue to bring you years of joy as you have been giving to others.
Thank you for your good wishes, Sunita.
Thanks for this blog hop. I could revive my blog and I got back the motivation to write. And best wishes to you with Frangipani Creative.
Thank you, Esha. I’m glad this works for us all.
Thank you for sharing about your origin and the developments so far. I would like to visit you and be a part of the creative circle that’s growing around you. Let’s hope to meet one day. š
I’d love to meet you and look forward to that day, Vinitha.
Though I have known Corinne for some years now, I didnāt know much about you. So Iām glad you took the time to share about what keeps you busy. I love that green window side. I think thatās where creativity comes in.
Looking forward to see you sometime this year. Fingers crossed!
Thank you, Parul. The green cover is not what it used to be, but it’s still so peaceful and conducive to creating!
Would love to have you visit.
